Hello, I'm Sanda!

Welcome to Still-A-Mama, a blog where I share parenting after loss as a mama of two boys, Elijah and Benjamin. Elijah, who we raise in our hearts, was stillborn on June 16, 2016 at 20 weeks gestation. He died due to Preterm Premature Rupture of Membranes (pPROM), which is when the sac tears before term, causing amniotic fluid loss and premature birth. His brother, Benjamin, was born on April 15, 2020. We are fortunate to have the opportunity in raising Benji earth side.

In between life after loss and pregnancy after loss, I have faced a number of challenges from grief to infertility, and spent those years redefining my identity/role in the world. I began a blog in January 2017 called Little Heart Tiny Wings, that helped me cope and find support. I am moving forward and retiring my grief blog to focus more on parenting after loss.

As of 2019, I am a graduate of National Holistic Institute in Emeryville, California, earning the title as Certified Massage Therapist and Health Educator. I also have an educational background in Social Science and Child Development.

My husband, Yao, and I have been together since December 2011. We have originally lived in the Bay Area, California and have now settled in Boise, Idaho to raise our little family.

Thank you for visiting my blog and being part of my journey to motherhood.

With love x
